Pickup Truck Crashes into Luxury Car, Couple Injured

PHNOM PENH: A pick-up truck loaded with vegetables has crashed into a luxury car in Phnom Penh on Thursday evening, resulting to injuries. The truck was on its way to Dermkor Market, in the capital when its steering wheel broke, hitting a modern Range Rover from behind. A couple was reported injured during the accident.

Along the National Road No. 6A, in Sagkat Prek Leap, Khan Chroy Changvar, a pickup truck broke the steering wheel and crash into the Range Rover parking alongside of the road. The truck was driven by a man with his wife also on board. They were heading to sell vegetables at Dermkor Market when all of a sudden, an accident happened.

The incident caused severe damage to the car, with the vegetables falling out and scattered on the road. The whole front of the truck crashed in the road’s lane. The driver was slightly injured, but his wife had major injuries. She was rushed to the nearby hospital with a broken leg.

After the incident, the police confirmed that the two vehicles were checked and confiscated. They are temporarily stored at the Land Traffic Office of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police waiting to be claimed by its owners.
